2026 Campus flower planting day

The UAF Grounds Crew is looking for volunteers for the 2026 Campus Flower Planting Day on Wednesday, June 3. Flower beds across the Fairbanks campus will be ready for planting starting at 9 a.m.

A sign-up table will be located in front of Constitution Hall, where maps and planting tools will be available. Participants are encouraged to bring their own gardening gloves.

Everyone who participates will be entered into a prize drawing for a chance to win a flower basket. Two baskets will be given away at the end of the day.

The flowers planted around campus are purchased through the Ruth Hewitt Endowment, a privately funded program dedicated to campus landscaping and beautification.
