The Harper Building was home to UAF's former Interior Alaska Campus, whose programs for rural Interior Alaska were absorbed by the UAF Community and Technical College in mid-2025. The university announced on Oct. 1, 2025, that it planned to lease out the building.
The building is named after Flora Jane Harper, who in 1935 became the first Alaska Native woman to graduate from the Alaska Agricultural College and School of Mines.
Access is off Fairbanks Street and Draanjik Drive. The Geist Road entrance was closed in 2018.
