One-, two- and three-bedroom units for employees, families and graduate students occupy duplexes and triplexes along Chandalar Drive near the center of the campus. Another three duplexes line Tanana Loop on the eastern edge of the campus. 

The houses were built in the late 1950s and early 1960s and have been upgraded in subsequent years.
