Public affairs programming is offered by many radio stations as forums to publicize community activities and encourage community dialogue on important issues. Listed here are Interior Alaska radio stations which offer such programs.

"Problem Corner" KFAR-AM (Fairbanks); Steve Floyd host
Airs from 11 - 12 p.m. weekdays. Guests may have up to two hours for this call-in talk show, depending on the topic and audience interest. Generally, however, on-air time is 40 - 60 minutes. Guests should be at the studio 10 - 15 minutes before airtime. Call 3 - 4 weeks in advance for appointment.

50,000-watt transmitter broadcasts to fairly large area of the Interior; guests should be at studio 15 minutes before broadcast.

KUAC-FM (Fairbanks)
Airs public service announcements of upcoming non-profit events at irregular intervals throughout the day. Submissions should be written for broadcast and faxed to or dropped off at the studio. Submissions must have a contact name and telephone number listed.

Clear Channel Radio Fairbanks KIAK-AM, KIAK-FM, KAKQ-FM, KKED-FM
Airs public service announcements for non-profit events during the day at no set times. Fax or bring it to their station. Clear Channel's 100,000 watt transmitter is the largest in the state and reaches a very large area around Fairbanks.
