Welcome to the UAF Office of International Programs & Initiatives. We provide a variety of services for students, scholars, and faculty members who want to access the world! Learn about where we're from and where we're going (see the map to the right), or follow one of the links above to learn about the services we provide to students and faculty wishing to go abroad and for students, researchers, and faculty who are here from other countries.

NOTE: SEVIS OUTAGE - All F-1 and J-1 status holders: The SEVIS system will be down beginning at 8:00 a.m. Eastern Time (4:00 a.m. Alaska time) on Friday, June 26. The following will be impacted:
New students and scholars will not be able to pay the SEVIS fee during that time.
U.S. consular officers will not be able to view and verify updated information for visa appointments.
Delays and increased secondary screening may take place at U.S. ports of entry.
Immigration status will not be able to be verified for those applying for U.S. social security cards or drivers licenses at the respective offices.
It is anticipated that the system will be restored June 29 or 30.
