Hello my name is Akela! While I was raised nearby in Eagle River Alaska, I love to get out and explore both within the state, and outside of it. I love both people and science, so the nursing program was a natural route for me. I am a nursing program student and I love the UAF campus so much I decided to do the Fairbanks satellite program, making all my classes here on the Fairbanks campus.

I have been a full student at UAF for the past two years; taking full advantage of all UAF has to offer from studying abroad, to URSA (Undergraduate Research and Scholarly Activity), to being a club officer, so don’t be afraid to ask me questions about UAF resources and opportunities. You can easily find me studying at Arctic Java, or at the SRC playing Volleyball.
