The Wood Center student union houses student dining, a coffee shop, lounges, a pub, a games area and bowling alley, the student government and newspaper, offices for student clubs and more.
From SpringFest to Winter Carnival, UAF has a rich tradition of festivities that bring
our students together in fun and celebration. You can also host your own art show,
join in the discussion at our speaker series and much more!
Whether you’re interested in opportunities to develop your leadership skills, take part in volunteer experiences or get involved in one of our active student organizations, the Student Leadership and Involvement Office is ready to help.
Dedicated to promoting social justice, the Center for Student Engagement (CSE) provides
a welcoming space, educational programming and opportunities to transform social concerns
into action.
Made by students, for students, Polaris News is our weekly, student-run online newspaper. The newspaper is produced by a small editorial staff and 15-20 reporters.
The Associated Students of the University of Alaska Fairbanks (ASUAF) provides a variety of free services for students including coffee and snacks, attorney consultation, printing, club funding and more.
On Campus Dining
Dinner time is always a favorite at UAF. Our campus dining hall offers a wide selection of delicious home-cooked food and exceptional value through our college meal plans. With seven convenient locations across campus, there's always a restaurant, coffee shop, snack bar or convenience store nearby. You can even order groceries online through our campus catering service!
More Student Services at the Wood Center
In addition to the dining hall, our student center offers a variety of spaces for students to connect and have fun. Our Games Area includes an 8-lane bowling alley, pool and ping pong tables, video games and much more. The Associated Students of UAF offers the chance to get involved in student government.
