Munch Money and Blocks
Weekly Blocks are used to purchase meals or for exchange of up to $7.00 cash equivalency (excluding Subway). This semester blocks have been expanded to be accepted to meals at all locations (excluding Fuse and Subway) and for more meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner). Weekly blocks reset Sunday mornings. Any leftover blocks from the previous week expire and new blocks are added to your PolarExpress card.

Munch Money is used like a debit card at all dining locations and vending machines on campus on campus. Munch Money is also available to use on Grubhub and Market Basket (our campus online grocery store).
Grubhub is our mobile ordering app. In order to limit our in person contact we strongly encourage all our guests to download this app.
If you are required to be in isolation or self-quarantine you can place your delivery orders through Grubhub.

Change your Meal Plan
If you would like to change your meal plan please fill out our electronic meal plan application. Meal Plan changes are accepted through February 19, 2021. Please note every week you are on your previous plan we will prorate your refund and charge you a prorated amount on your new selection.

On behalf of Chartwells, we hope you had a restful break and were able to enjoy the holidays! As we kick of the semester, here are a few updates and notes for Spring 2021.
Station Locations Changes
We have moved Fuse, Sushi and Alaska Grill to Dine 49 in the Wood Center. We will still be offering the same foods that you love, just in a different area. In addition, Alaska Grill will no longer be Grubhub Only, however Grubhub is still an option. As always, we encourage the use of Grubhub to promote social distancing in our dining hall.
M3 Café, and Java Joe’s will continue to be closed this semester.
For those who need to quarantine, we want you to know that we got you! Meals will be available to order through the Grubhub app under the Quarantine Student Delivery Menu. Orders must be placed by 5pm for next day delivery. Starting Monday January 11th, delivery times will start at 11:55am and 4:55pm.
Students should reference the Grubhub and Quarantine Order Instructions. Any questions can be directed via text or call at 907-987-2686.
For those who prefer to cook their own meals, we have our online grocery store, Market Basket. Visit uaf.catertrax.com and create an account. Orders placed by 10pm Tuesday will be available for pick up on Friday at Dine 49 during regular hours of operation.

In our menus, we integrate recipes to satisfy the dietary requirements for various dietary restrictions, such as Vegan, Vegetarian, Gluten Intolerant, Food Allergies, and others. You Spoke, We Listened! You wanted more options to use the full value of your blocks, and we are now giving you that option! Block Meals are now available at every location (excluding Subway and Fuse). You can now redeem blocks for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner! Visit our locations or check out Grubhub starting January 11th to see our Block Meal options.
Breakfast service has changed. Monday through Friday, breakfast will be offered starting 7am at Arctic Java. On the weekends, our breakfast bar will be available through Sono in Dine 49.
We have also declared every Friday night to be Brinner Fridays! We will be serving breakfast foods through our Kitchen & G8 dinner menu.

We have a packed semester ready for you! Everything from Souperbowl celebrations, free give-a-ways, Virtual Teaching Kitchens, DIY Videos and Kits, Superfood and FYUL specials, and MORE! As a reminder, we are still practicing social distancing and mask wearing for our staff and require that all UAF COVID-19 policies be followed at our locations. In addition, hand sanitizer stations are available throughout our dining hall.
Dining in is permitted in the Wood Center dining hall, however tables and chairs have been separated for your safety. We have also placed partitions on the tables to allow you to dine with your friend. We ask that you do not move tables, chairs, or partitions. Masks must also be worn whenever not actively eating or drinking.
