Dear UAF community,

Thank you for supporting UAF through your involvement with the Blue and Gold Celebration. I am writing to share with you that the 2022 Blue and Gold Celebration has been postponed.

I appreciate your patience as we work to mitigate the effects of COVID-19 at our UAF campuses and public events. UAF has made great efforts to resume in-person classes and activities on campus, but we continue to be cautious about planning large-scale in-person events. I am so grateful for those who supported and attended the virtual 2021 Blue and Gold Celebration, but I also recognize that people around the world are weary of online events.

We look forward to resuming the tradition of the Blue and Gold Celebration and have made arrangements to honor and celebrate our alumni and faculty in 2022. The UAF Alumni Association will celebrate the recipients of the Distinguished Alumnus Award and William R. Cashen Service Award during the 2022 Nanook Rendezvous reunion. Alternate plans are underway to celebrate the recipients of the 2022 Emil Usibelli Distinguished Teaching, Research and Service Awards this spring.

There will be other opportunities to showcase your support for UAF students. Details are forthcoming, but for now, please consider supporting first-generation students at UAF today with a gift.

We look forward to bringing back the UAF Blue and Gold Celebration in winter 2022-2023, and we thank you for your continued support.

With gratitude,

Morgan Dulian
