The showcase will be held Saturday, Nov. 2, at 7:30 p.m. in the Salisbury Theatre. Fifty percent of net proceeds will benefit the Adrina Knutson Memorial for Film Students.

"Bodies of Water," written by Adrina Knutson and directed by Maya Salganek, is an exploration into loss, grief, guilt and the confrontation of fear. Knutson was a UAF student. She died in a car accident in Tanzania in 2012 while working on a documentary film. Faculty, students, alumni and Knutsonā€™s family collaborated to produce this film project in her memory.

The second film, "A Night for Conversation," was written and directed by Kade Mendelowitz. It follows a seemingly happy couple who hide a dark and unhappy side.

Both films are rated PG-13. Visit the current season's webpage for complete descriptions, including trigger warnings and the full cast.
