New class, Innovation for Alaska and the Arctic, now enrolling for spring 2024

Interested in problem-solving? Want to make a difference and research solutions to local and regional needs?

Would you like to engage directly with complex, real-world problems from policy, economics, technology, national security and innovation?

Students test hypotheses using a start-up model approach, respond to the needs of the end-users and focus on evolving their discoveries into implementable solutions. Using a design thinking approach, this class will help the students build skills to

understand users’ needs, ideate solutions and create rapid prototypes that are refined in parallel to deepen their understanding of the key stakeholders. Register for BA F494 or HSEM F494.
