The Alaska Seed Fund is offering grants of up to $1,500 for consulting with UA faculty. This no contract, no-obligation program gives Alaska innovators access to experts in many fields in order to receive assistance with a technical, commercial or entrepreneurial project.

Our first project will be investigating a community member's patented concept for a low and variable speed motor/generator. The project needs expert evaluations to qualify for additional funds and attract additional research interest.

While faculty are always available for advice, this program allows for a deeper dive that could result in preparing for attracting a larger investment or learning about programs and resources which could assist you.
