Wood Center also has a lost and found center, an automatic teller machine (ATM), tickets to cultural and sporting events and the Global Café with newspapers from around the world.

Explore Alaska's wild frontier when you join Outdoor Adventures excursions, such as canoeing, hiking, whitewater rafting and camping trips. Check out the long list of rental equipment available including backpacks, tents, sleeping bags, bear bags and much more.

The UAF Leadership Program provides opportunities for students to learn about and practice leadership skills. All students, from emerging to experienced leaders, are encouraged to become engaged in leadership by sharing experiences with other campus and Fairbanks community members. Activities include clubs, Greek Life, UAF LEADS workshop series, UAF Student Leadership Conference, Leaders for Alaska Institute and an Advisory Committee. Student leadership is recognized through the Emerging Leaders Scholarship and at the Nanook Honors Celebration each spring. Graduation with Leadership Honors are awarded to students who have served as exemplary leaders at UAF. The Leadership Program also serves as a clearinghouse for other leadership opportunities off and on campus.

For those over 21, the Wood Center Pub offers evening entertainment with live music, an open mic night and various professional sporting events shown on the big screen television. Special events include poetry slams, beer and wine tastings, comedian performances, and casino night.
Wood Center is also the home of the Student Activities Office. Student Activities provides entertainment ranging from movies to speakers like Jello Biafra and Henry Rollins. You can also take in musical acts such as Robbie Fulks, Flogging Molly and the Blind Boys of Alabama--and the Bust-A-Gut comedy series is always a hit. Signature events organized by Student Activities include Starvation Gulch every fall, Winter Carnival and Nanook SpringFest during the spring semester.
