Wood Center

The William Ransom Wood Campus Center is a focal point for student leisure activity. Services include campus information, lost and found, facilities, scheduling, bowling, pool tables, video games, snacks and sundry items, newspapers, lockers for rent, bus tokens, and tickets to cultural events.

Food service is provided int he Food Court and Pizza Piazza. For those over 21 years old, the Wood Center Pub offers evening entertainment and a selection of domestic and imported beer and wine.

An outdoor adventures program helps students get out and explore Alaska with trips, rental equipment, outdoor movies, skills workshops and slide shows. Trips incluse canoeing, hiking, rock climbing, rafting, biking, skiing, snowshoeing, dog mushing and more. The program also offers an equipment rental service. Instructional activities include a wilderness first responder class, and presentations on avalanche awareness.
