In this documentary about UAF’s 100-year-old hockey program, players, coaches and alumni describe the challenges of building and sustaining an NCAA hockey team in Alaska. The project began when alumni Paul Burke and Shawn Jones interviewed numerous players. UAF University Relations office’s digital media producer Isabella Colello and former creative director Adam Rubin worked with Burke and Jones to develop the story and merge it with footage from the 2025 Governor’s Cup series. The film premiered on Sept. 20, 2025, before the annual Blue vs. Gold scrimmage in the Patty Center ice arena.
