Welcome to UAF's Fairbanks campus!
UAF is America's northernmost Land, Sea and Space Grant institution. Our 2,250-acre campus includes miles of multiuse recreational trails and two small lakes, with views of North America's tallest peak, Mount McKinley, often visible to the south. The Fairbanks campus is the university's principal research center. UAF is among the top 10 universities in atmospheric sciences and meteorology in the nation. It is home to the UA Museum of the North, International Arctic Research Center, Geophysical Institute, the Institute of Arctic Biology and many other research centers.

Guided tours for prospective students
Find out if UAF is right for you by seeing it in person. We offer campus tours for prospective students Monday - Friday, starting in the Signers' Hall lobby and lasting about 60 minutes. Because the tours are led by students for students, tour times vary from semester to semester. We encourage advance reservations to ensure that you have the best experience possible at UAF. While you are at UAF, you may be interested in visiting the bookstore, walking through Signers' Hall where the Alaska Constitution was signed, eating lunch at Wood Center or just wandering around. Check out some other things to see and do throughout the year.
Shuttle service
Shuttle service operates from 7:15 a.m. - 10:30 p.m., Monday through Friday during the academic year, with reduced service in the summer. Call 474-PARK (7275) or visit the Transportation Services.
