NEW THIS YEAR: The Center for Health and Counseling will be offering free vaccines during REV IT UP! The following are required vaccines/tests to live in UAF housing: tetanus shot within the last 10 years, two MMR shots or proof of immunity, and a PPD test (for TB) within the last year. The meningitis shot is not required but is strongly recommended.
The following shots are free to those who fit the criteria listed below:
-
Meningitis vaccine
Freshmen 18 or younger living in dorms (for all others it will cost ~$85). -
MMR (measles, mumps, rubella)
Students age 18 or younger (for all others it will cost ~$45). -
Tetanus
Any student who hasn't had one in 10 years (free for all students). -
PPD testing (TB testing--this is not a vaccine but a test for exposure to TB)
The test will need to be read by a medical provider within 48-72 hours–stay tuned on how to have this done (free for all students).
If you have any questions call the Center at (907) 474-7043. See you this fall!
Packing 101 - wondering what to bring to UAF?
