Jan. 18 is MLK Day of Service
January 11, 2021
Students can honor the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. during the 2021 MLK Day of Service on Monday, Jan. 18. The Nanook Diversity and Action Center will have service opportunities in the morning as well as a free speech workshop in the afternoon.
Through his leadership and activism, King became the primary spokesperson for the civil rights movement in the 1950s and 1960s. His work toward racial justice and aiding the poor is a legacy that activists and organizations continue to foster to this day.
