The University of Alaska Museum of the North will host botanical artist and UAF alumna Karen Stomberg for a talk and book signing on Saturday, Sept. 14, from noon to 1 p.m. at the museum on the University of Alaska Fairbanks campus.

Stomberg will talk about the exhibition "Collected Treasures: Six Alaska Wildflowers," which is now on display in the museum's Café Gallery. A book signing will follow the talk. The event is free and open to the public.

In addition to the talk and book signing, Stomberg will demonstrate botanical illustration from 1:30-4 p.m. the same day, during the museum’s Family Day event, which begins at noon. Family Day activities are included with admission. Children 14 and under are free on Family Days, thanks to support from TOTE Maritime.
