Advising for summer courses

A note in today’s Cornerstone (2/5) states that all students must now see an advisor before registering for summer courses. Given that most faculty are off contract starting in mid-May (and thus not available for advising), and given that many of our students do not register until a week or two before classes begin, how is this supposed to work? Will there be extra staff at the general advising office who will be willing to meet with students?
