| The Kenai Peninsula Borough covers an area of approximately 25,000 square miles of which about 14,697 square miles are land. The Kenai Peninsula encompasses approximately 8,000 square miles. The 1990 national census lists a Kenai Peninsula Borough population totaling 40,802. The Borough is a major urban and rural area with four major communities connected by the Sterling and Seward Highways. | |||
| Extension programming must meet a wide variety of clientele interests. There are small, but significant, horticultural and agricultural enterprises dispersed throughout the District. However, the majority of horticultural and agricultural activities are conducted on a hobby basis and do not constitute an economic product unit. | |||
