The Discover UAF open house series is an exciting opportunity to tour campus, meet faculty, staff and students, and get a glimpse of UAF life. Events are open to all; however, they are geared for high school juniors and seniors. Each open house serves a different purpose. Please take a moment to read through the descriptions below, and find the visit option that works best for you.
Most events are held from 1 - 3:30 p.m.

Discover UAF: Inside Out
March 8 & July 12
The Discover UAF: Inside Out program is our most comprehensive preview day. Students and parents will have the opportunity to ask questions, get answers and experience life at UAF during UAF Inside Out, a preview event designed to let you see what the University of Alaska Fairbanks is all about--from the inside out. We'll turn the university inside out so you can get the real story on financial aid, the admission process, classes and professors at UAF, extracurricular fun, and our outstanding academic programs.

Discover UAF: Registration, Advising and Financial Aid
Date to be determined for spring 2013
This event is your opportunity to get your UAF academic advising, class registration and financial aid information all at one event. Attendees will be entered into a drawing for a $150 credit toward their tuition costs.
- Meet with an academic advisor to discuss your class options
- Sign up classes on-site
- Discuss your financial aid with our financial aid advisors.

Discover UAF: Honors and UA Scholars Program

The Discover UAF: Honors and UA Scholars Program is designed to profile the UAF Honors and UA Scholars programs which provides an academic and social home for exceptionally talented and motivated students. During the open house you'll have the opportunity to:
- Meet the honors program faculty, staff, and students
- Discover academic and research opportunities for honors students
- Preview university life and the residential experience
- Tour campus
- Enjoy a free lunch on us!

Daily campus tours
Tours depart daily at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. from the Office of Admissions. Tours generally last 1-1.5 hours and cover the lower and upper campus academic facilities, residence life and student life. Tours may be tailored to meet your interest. Bring walking shoes and weather appropriate attire.
Individual visits
Individual visits are available Monday through Friday, year-round, except during campus closures. If you would like to schedule an individual visit, please fill out the campus visit request form or contact Amy Bristor.
Group visits (school, team or other organizations)
If you would like to bring a group of students to UAF for a campus tour and/or meeting with Admissions, please fill out the group campus visit request form.
Your visit can include:
- An informational session with an admissions counselor
- A student-led campus tour
- Private appointments with professors, academic advisors and financial aid counselors
- Classroom visits
- Lunch on us!
