UAF’s chief photographer is a familiar and welcome face on campus, capturing the Nanook Nation spirit through images and video.
University Relations maintains an ever-expanding collection of professional photographs showcasing the people, places and activities that tell UAF’s unique story.
The images in the gallery are just some of the photos in a much larger catalog. If you don't see what you need in the online collection, more images may be available. All UAF images are protected by copyright. Please don't use them without permission. Appropriate use of the UAF logo may be required to use the images. Image requests are handled as quickly as possible but sometimes take a few days to complete. Please plan ahead to accommodate a one-week turnaround time for most requests.
Anyone can buy images from the online collection for personal use. You can order the image as a print, on a tote bag or mug, a T-shirt -- there are lots of ideas for gifts or a memento for yourself. From the photo gallery, just click the yellow "Buy Photos" button.

Photos in UAF presentations, publications, signage and advertising in print and/or online must have the consent of identifiable individuals on a signed model release. Permission of persons obviously posing for a photo is implied, so no release is needed in such instances. Other exceptions include photos of individuals participating in a public performance (theater, athletics, dance, etc.) or public crowd shots in which no individual is singled out.
