Kids Day Camps
2019 Summer Sessions Kids Camps and Visual Art Academy
An exciting, fun-filled summer of camps is planned for students entering grades 2 through 12. Click on the camp titles below to find camp descriptions and the registration link. You will be directed to a secure site where you can complete the registration and payment process. Choose the camp for the grade the camper will be entering in the fall.
Summer Sessions & Lifelong Learning is offering a supervised lunch hour on campus for campers who are staying in the time between day camp sessions. Staff will meet your camper at the conclusion of their morning camp, accompany them throughout the lunch hour, and escort them to their afternoon camp. Campers must bring their own lunch and be dressed for the weather including footwear appropriate for walking.
* Visual Art Academy's lunch is separate from the supervised lunch offered by Summer Sessions.
A limited number of camp scholarships are available for campers who qualify for Free & Reduced School Lunch and do not have another scholarship funding source. Families are responsible for the $25.00 deposit, which is non-refundable. Scholarships cover the remainder of the camp fee to a maximum of $205. Submit the completed scholarship application to the Summer Sessions office. One scholarship will be awarded per camper, as long as funding is available.
Enrollment for most camps is limited to 20 participants.
Visual Art Academy
UAF College of Liberal Art's Visual Art Academy is available for registration through the same portal as Summer Sessions' camps! For artists grades 6-12, Visual Art Academy is a two-week intensive art program where students can focus and showcase their work. More information can be found at the Visual Art Academy website.
