The objective of the internship program is to provide students with meaningful experience that relates to their academic goals, as well as offering employers a talented pool of highly-trained individuals. Students have the opportunity to receive course credit by enrolling in an internship course: Business Administration (BA 253/BA 453), Accounting (BA 356), or HSEM (BA 452).

Chris Piech, a SOM accounting student, interned at the accounting firm BDO during the summer of 2013, after his junior year. Chris accepted a job offer from BDO during his senior year, and began working at the firm as an audit accountant after his graduation in May 2014.

Title IX: Student Placement Guidelines

To enter the internship program UAF SOM must notify you and the employer of Title IX rights and responsibilities. This requires just a bit more paperwork that you can complete with your academic advisor or the program faculty member. Once you enroll in the course we will complete the notification documents for you and your supervisor.
