BSRB Concentrations

The BSRB degree offers two concentration options: recreation management and sport management. Each student in this degree program must choose from one of the following concentrations; you can find a detailed class list for each concentration on the BSRB catalog page.

Recreation Management
The recreation management concentration prepares students for careers in the recreation industry. For students who are passionate about the outdoors, this concentration allows them to delve into the business side of the outdoor industry. From ski resort management to recreation programming to entrepreneurship in the outdoor industry - this concentration is for the outdoor enthusiast.

Students concentrating in the recreation management area should also explore the opportunity to complete the summer Backcountry Leadership Training Program.

Sport Management
The sport management concentration prepares students for entry-level sport-related career opportunities. Students concentrating in sport management will be prepared with the business skills necessary to make an impact in organizations such as professional sports, amateur sports, marketing agencies and event management companies. Students will gain valuable real-world experience in sport-specific courses.
