Prerequisites

Don't have a business degree? Not a problem! Take the foundational pre-MBA modules and within no time you'll be ready to begin earning your MBA.

Pre-MBA Modules

Pre-MBA modules at the UAF School of Management are available online and are self-study paced. Each module is available for $100, which includes all course materials needed. You have up to three opportunities to pass the final exam for each module with a score of 80%. The goal of these modules is to provide you with the foundational knowledge you need for the MBA courses. These modules are also a great way to test the waters if you are considering pursuing an MBA, but are unsure of the type of material that will be covered.

The following modules are available:

  • Business Math and Statistics
  • Financial Accounting
  • Fundamentals of Economics
  • Managerial Accounting
  • Principles of Management
  • Principles of Marketing
  • Understanding Corporate Finance

Check with the Graduate Advisor, Angel Buchanan, to determine which modules you should take to enroll in the MBA program.

"Beginning my Master of Business Administration during the summer semester with UAF online seemed like a daunting endeavor. Beginning graduate level classes after nearly a decade removed from academia and managing my zipline business seemed to leave little time for anything resembling summer. Fortunately, my instructor was flexible and understanding of the requirements of both class and business."
