Since 2011, UAF's educator preparation programs
in the School of Education have been nationally
recognized for high quality teacher preparation.
The Elementary, Music Education, Secondary and
Special Education initial licensure programs are
nationally accredited by the Council for the
Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP)
through 2024.

Accreditation

University of Alaska Fairbanks is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities.

The UAF SOE Clinical Mental Health and School Counseling Programs hold national accreditation through the Council for the Accreditation of Counseling & Related Educational Programs (CACREP).  CACREP Accreditation recognizes the exemplary content, quality, and stability of our counseling programs.
