Take the next step in your education and job training at the College of Rural and Community Development at UAF. We offer flexible, hands-on educational opportunities designed to meet the needs of students in rural Alaska and serve communities across the state.
About CRCD Degree and Job Training Programs
UAF’s College of Rural and Community Development offers academic programs designed to serve Alaska communities and build a new generation of leaders. Supporting key initiatives such as workforce development, business development and economic growth, our programs are grounded in Alaska communities and the challenges they face.
Our students come from all over Alaska and the world — especially rural communities throughout the state. Many are adult learners with jobs and families. Some earn their associate, bachelor’s or master’s degrees, while others take individual classes or pursue specific job training programs. They study everything from tribal management, to construction trades, to rural development, and much more.
Applied learning is built in to everything we do. From conducting original research and writing about your experiences, engaging in community services initiatives, to helping draft policy and legislation, there’s no limit to the kinds of hands-on learning you can engage in at CRCD.
