The UAF Resource and Advocacy Center is looking for volunteers and interns who are interested in advocacy. In this position you will have the opportunity to provide crisis intervention, systems advocacy, and support to UAF students, faculty, and staff who have been impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking. This will include handling sensitive issues in a mature and confidential manner with integrity and compassion. Training provided. Flexible hours.
Minimum Qualifications: Must be willing to commit 1 year (2 semesters) of services with 4-6 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have experience handling sensitive issues in a mature and confidential manner with integrity and compassion. We are looking for someone that has the ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds, cultures, and lifestyles with a commitment to agency mission and goals. Must have the ability to pass a background check and UAF Judicial Check.
