Welcome to the UAF Community Mental Health Clinic!

The UAF Community Mental Health Clinic is dedicated to providing mental health counseling services to the UAF community, and community members of Fairbanks and surrounding areas. Telehealth counseling services are available for individuals residing in Alaska, outside of Fairbanks.

Services are provided by master's and doctoral level student counselors and psychologists. Master's level students are enrolled in the UAF Clinical Mental Health Counseling program and doctoral level students are enrolled the UAF Ph.D. Program in Clinical-Community Psychology. All student counselors and student psychologists are under the direct supervision of a licensed clinical psychologist.

The program uniquely combines the spirit of clinical and community mental health, placing strong emphasis on non-traditional service delivery and social action, as well as clinical service delivery to individuals and groups.

One purpose of the clinic is to meet the needs of individuals in our community who have limited access to mental health care; those on waiting lists and those who cannot afford treatment. Referrals from the Fairbanks community are welcomed. Treatment is available for adults, 18 and older regardless of their affiliation with the University.
