EPSCoR and Center ICE to offer NFT webinars
Dates: May 31 and June 2, 2022
Time: 4-5 p.m. each day
Location: online
Have you ever wanted to create an NFT? Or are you just curious about what they are and how they work?
Alaska NSF EPSCoR will be teaming up with Alaska Center ICE to offer a pair of webinars next week about NFTs (non-fungible tokens).
The first event, “Building NFTs for Academic Environments,” will take place from 4-5 PM Tuesday, May 31. The event will primarily be aimed at a student audience, but all are welcome. In addition to providing information and instruction about NFTs, one goal will be to brainstorm a future NFT “hackathon.” Those interested can register for the event.
The second event, “Academic uses of NFTs,” will take place from 4-5 PM Thursday, June 2. This event will be aimed more at faculty and staff, but again all are welcome. This webinar will include description and discussion of NFTs and blockchain technology and how they can be used to further academic goals. Those interested can register for the event.
