J. Ryan Ford

Assistant Professor of Construction Trades and Technology

In his adolescence, Ryan Ford started working in the construction trade with his dad and grandpa during the summers.   The love he developed early on for the construction trades helped shape his future profession around a variety of construction activities including:

  • Framing
  • Concrete foundation
  • Dry wall installer & finisher
  • Kitchen & bathroom cabinets and countertops
  • Finish carpenter: installing trim, doors, & windows
  • Plumbing
  • Decks
  • Roofs

Ryan’s professional interests include understanding, applying, and teaching building techniques to improve the efficiency of homes and quality of life.   It is Ryan’s belief that knowledge is the key to change and understanding.     

Ryan’s personal interests include wilderness survival, spending time with family, fishing, bow hunting, snowboarding, and sitting around a campfire.
