Tribal Management Program Manager
Joy Huntington is Koyukon Athabascan and grew up in Manley Hot Springs and Stevens Village. She graduated with high honors from Dartmouth College in 2006 with a BA in Native American Studies and a minor in Environmental Studies. She has served Alaskan tribal governments in different capacities since 2002 working in the areas of environmental and natural resource management, planning and advocacy. She lives in Fairbanks with her husband and two daughters. Joy is currently the Chair of the Fairbanks North Star Borough Planning Commission (appointed by Mayor Luke Hopkins in 2010). She owns a consulting business and is the program manager and assistant professor of Tribal Management at the Interior-Aleutians Campus at UAF.
