Thanks in part to ongoing fiscal stability from the state, UA is on stable footing and celebrated a strong start to the Academic Year.

Simmons returns to UAF to lead College of Indigenous Studies as interim dean

Simmons, who holds a Master of Arts in Clinical-Community Psychology, brings a wealth of experience from her previous roles as a faculty member and senior administrator at UAF. As the former Interior Alaska Campus director, Simmons oversaw faculty and staff while serving as principal investigator on numerous federal and state grants.

Minnie Naylor has taken on the role of interim director of the UAF Northwest Campus, while continuing her leadership as director of the UAF Chukchi Campus, a position she has held since Aug. 1, 2022. Haley Hanson has transitioned from assistant director to interim director of the UAF Kuskokwim Campus.
