The UA Staff Alliance is pleased to once again offer a class fee scholarship for UA
classes taken by staff that directly support their career or professional development.
The scholarship, good for the 2024 Fall Semester, is for up to $250 per employee.
The University of Alaska will begin negotiations with United Academics (UNAC) on a
new contract this fall. UNAC represents most of the faculty at the UA System, and
the current bargaining agreement expires at the end of this year.
At the beginning of the Fall 2024 semester, UAF NTS Collaboration and Learning Spaces
(CLS) will be offering UA Zoom training to anyone with UA Zoom account access.

The three-day conference from Aug. 13-15 is hosted by the state of Alaska and the
University of Alaska, and is sponsored by the Alaska Center for Unmanned Aircraft
Systems Integration (ACUASI) at the University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF) Geophysical
Institute.
Procurement & Contract Services will be closed for regular business on August 19-20,
2024 for a staff retreat.
