The University of Alaska Board of Regents invites you to participate in a public testimony
session on Monday, May 20, from 4-5 p.m. Each participant will have two minutes to
discuss topics or issues related to the University of Alaska system.
Regular assessments of your data, storage locations, permissions, and deleting unnecessary
files and using strong passwords are recommended practices to ensure data security
and compliance with federal and other requirements.
The May 22-23, 2024 meeting at UAA follows a fortnight of commencement ceremonies,
and passage of the university's budgets and key legislative priorities.
Pending Governor approval and Legislative appropriation, all benefited UA faculty
and full-time staff will receive a 2.5% increase in compensation for Fiscal Year 2025.
We've made some updates to the UA Software Request Process, and we're eager to share
them with you. Your feedback has been instrumental in these changes, and we appreciate
your continued input.
Nelson has received numerous teaching and service awards. Recently, she was recognized
for her leadership and community service in the 2023 YWCA Women of Achievement award.
Erin Morotti serves the Education Trust of Alaska as the Finance Manager, based in
Fairbanks, AK. Originally from Southern California, she made her way to Alaska in
2000 as an active duty member of the United States Coast Guard.
A graduate of ANSEP, former program assistant director, and associate professor of
civil engineering at UAA, Calhoun has led ANSEP as interim executive director since
spring 2023.
She began her career in development with UAF in 2015 as a lead major gift officer
and has since spent almost 10 years in this field. For the past few years, she has
been providing support to the UA Foundation's principal gifts team.
