News. We understand that the procurement process can sometimes resemble a black hole;
therefore we are committed to shedding light and demystifying the process through
initiatives like this quarterly newsletter, upcoming interactive Q&A sessions and
enhanced educational materials.
Changes are coming to how staff, faculty, and students interact with UAOnline. Over
the next 18 months, UA will be upgrading UAOnline and Banner Self-Service to version
9.
UA is conducting 3 days of scheduled, in-person negotiations with the newly formed
Alaska Graduate Workers Association (AGWA) this week. Progress continues to be made,
and UA is about reaching a mutually beneficial contract for all parties.

UAF Facilities Services will be conducting a planned maintenance power shutdown in
the Butrovich Building to integrate a maintenance bypass switch for the Uninterruptible
Power Supply (UPS) for the Butrovich Data Center (BDC).
