The University of Alaska is proud to co-host the 10th international Arctic Encounter Symposium (AES) in Anchorage from April 10 to 12. AES is the largest annual Arctic policy event in the United States.

The 2024 State of the University Address was held on March 11, 2024. President Pitney provided an update on the important role of the UA system in the state's economic recovery and in building Alaska's workforce; the contributions of UA's world-class research; and highlighted excellence across the university system.

UA Resumes In-Person Negotiations with AGWA

This week, UA is returning to previously scheduled in-person negotiations with AGWA on March 18-19. UA was able to reach a degree of mutual agreement with AGWA on the ground rules.
