University of Alaska President Pat Pitney will deliver this year's "State of the University"
Address on Tuesday, February 21, at the Greater Fairbanks Chamber of Commerce's weekly
business luncheon. The address will focus on how the university empowers Alaska, and
highlight excellence across the UA System.
The public testimony session provides the university community and all Alaskans the
opportunity to talk directly with regents. To testify, please call 1-888-886-7786
between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m.
The Board of Regents will have committee meetings on Feb. 23 and a full board meeting
on Feb. 24 in Anchorage with a focus on goals and measures, economic impacts, and
workforce development.

After some careful review, UA Leadership decided to update our social media policy
and guidelines regarding TikTok in a way that allows for student learning, marketing
and outreach, research, and other activities while still placing safeguards around
data and privacy.
This year more than 75 donors, representing alumni, community members and business
supporters, are offering a record-setting amount in challenges and rewards to encourage
broad community participation in giving to UAA, UAF, and UAS.

Notably, salary adjustments for UA employee compensation increases are among the included
