Glenn Juday, University of Alaska Fairbanks professor emeritus of forest ecology,
has received the George B. Fell Award, the highest award of the national Natural Areas
Association and one "reserved for exceptional career achievement."
Associate Professor Linda Curda will be inducted into the Alaska Women's Hall of Fame
during a virtual ceremony on Oct. 19.

Dr. Diane Hirshberg, professor of education, has been appointed interim director of
the Institute of Social and Economic Research (ISER).
Earlier this fall, the University of Alaska System Office welcomed Adrienne Stolpe
as the new director for the Land Management Office.
