Two critical issues faced by most faculty are managing student behaviors and expectations to ensure a productive learning environment. Classroom management relates to matters of facilitation, mediation, supervision, and intervention with the purpose of enhancing prosocial student behavior and increasing student academic engagement.  Although management approaches may vary depending on an instructor's philosophy/style and the classroom composition, there is a direct relationship between creating a positive teaching and learning climate to attain student achievement.
