Thesis

Age and Growth In a Changing Arctic Climate

Advisor

Career Goal

My goal is to work in the research sector of a fisheries management agency.

Specialties

  • Age and growth analysis
  • Biochronology development

Research Overview

My current research is aimed at investigating the use of hard structures in fish to assess the impacts of climate change in the Alaskan Beaufort Sea, a region that has undergone rapid environment change in recent decades. I am also investigating the use of alternative, nonlethal hard structures to assign age estimates to coregonid whitefishes commonly found in the high-latitude regions.
