Bachelor of Sport and Recreation Business

Bachelor of Sport and Recreation Business

The Bachelor of Sport and Recreation Business (BSRB) degree is designed for undergraduate students interested in pursuing careers in sport, recreation and/or tourism. The degree emphasizes critical business areas including accounting, marketing, management, economics and finance and applies them to the sport, recreation and tourism industries. The combination of business, leadership and hands-on education is what sets our students up to make an immediate impact within an organization.

Students can choose between concentrations in recreation management or sport management. In both concentrations, students will be challenged to apply classroom content to real world situations, gaining valuable resume-building experience in the process. Students benefit from in-person and online classes designed to complement a working student’s schedule.

The College of Business and Security Management is extending an offer to waive the application fee for all students who apply to any College of Business and Security Management degree program. Use the waiver code UAFCBSM when applying to take advantage of this offer.

My internship experience gave me the opportunity to grow myself professionally and apply the lessons I learned in my classes to the real world. By continuing to study marketing and game entertainment at CBSM and through my position as marketing programs coordinator for the UAF Athletics Department, I am increasing my knowledge about sport management and sport business. Combining all of these things is setting me up to be competitive in the workforce.
