ASUAF Programs and Services

ASUAF provides a number of programs and services for UAF students. Click below to learn more about these programs and services.

The ASUAF office provides free printing, snacks, tea, and hot water. The office has couches and computers and is a great space to study. The President, Vice President, Student Advocacy Director, and Public Relations Director offices are located in the ASUAF office. 

Currently the office is open noon to 5pm Monday through Thursday. It can be found on the first floor of the Wood Center next to the eSports Center. 

Funding for recognized student organizations is available on a semester-by-semester basis. ASUAF's Club Council manages the process for awarding club funding.
ASUAF provides funding for UAF students for travel for academic purposes such as research, fieldwork and academic conferences. This funding can be used for the costs of transportation and lodging only. To learn more head to our travel funding page.

The Senate Finance Committee manages the process for student travel funding.
ASUAF has a Student Advocacy Director dedicated to assisting students with university related problems. They are able to advocate for student's issues including but not limited to grade disputes, grievances, and providing forms for free legal advice.

ASUAF has partnered with a local legal firm to provide free 30-minute consultations for UAF students. The firm has a broad range of legal expertise and can assist students with most legal concerns.
The Student Labor Relations Board (SLRB) advocates for the welfare and fair treatment of student employees at UAF. 

The SLRB meets regularly to discuss issues related to student employment and conducts annual surveys to collect feedback from student employees.
