In general the Alaska Summer Research Academy is held in July each summer.  For 2019 the dates are July 8 through July 19th.  Most modules are held Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm for the 2 weeks, but some may hold a Saturday session.

Drop off and Sign in: 9:00AM on main floor of the Reichardt Building at UAF located at 1930 Yukon Drive.
Pick up and Sign out: 5:00PM on main floor of Reichardt Building at UAF located at 1930 Yukon Drive. 
If there is to be any deviation from this after the 1st day, you will be informed by your instructor.

 No there is no homework given or tests to take. ASRA is not a formal classroom setting, and there is no grading.  The final day of ASRA will be spent with students presenting their work to parents and the public in a scientific forum-style presentation.

 For middle school modules, students entering grades 6-8 in the fall of 2019 can apply. For high school modules, students entering grades 9-12 in the fall of 2019 can apply.  All students must be under the age of 18.
Yes.  They will need to be granted permission from you to check themselves in and out each day on the registration paperwork. Parking permits are required on campus and can be purchased at the kiosk in the parking lot.
 No, this program is not eligible for college credit.
 No.  We are sorry that we cannot provide that service.  Students need to have an adult in Fairbanks with them for time outside of ASRA hours.
Yes, as long as we have permission in writing .  There is a section on the registration to provide a list of people with sign in and sign out permissions.
 No, the tuition waiver does not cover ASRA
 All students need to bring a sack lunch and appropriate clothing for spending time outside. Students should also bring mosquito repellent and sun screen. Instructors will contact students/guardians via email if they need the students in their module to bring additional items.
