Class standing/years in college:
A bit about me:
I love to stay busy and find adventure behind every corner.
Why did you choose to attend UAF?
I couldn't think of going to any other state, and UAF offered so many unique experiences and classes at affordable prices with a very welcoming atmosphere.
What do you like best about UAF?
The opportunities available. UAF focuses individually on their students and opens a multitude of opportunites that are, not only uniquely tailored to the communities needs, but also that of every student.
What do you like to do in your spare time? What extracurricular activities are you a part of?
I am an avid long-distance racer in Nordic skiing, biking, running, and I love going out to hike, mountaineer, camp and explore as much of the world possible. I also work as an outdoor adventures guide, radio DJ on KSUA and group fitness instructor at the SRC.
What is one piece of advice you would give to a prospective student interested in UAF?
Keep an open and adventurous attitude and so many unique, exciting and amazing opportunities will find you, and don't forget to bring a good coat.
What "field work" have you done at UAF that will help you find work in your major?
Working as a radio DJ and guiding students in the wilderness has opened my eyes and given me experience on how communication works in a variety of demographics and situations.
What do you hope to do after you graduate?
I hope to work outside with others, and help inspire others in a positive way. Ultimately I would love to work for National Geographic hopefully in the state of Alaska.
If you could live anywhere else in the world, where would it be?
