RE: Vaccination Requirement Request Approval - Student Actors and
Crew on Mainstage Production and URSA Funded Student Film
The University of Alaska System policy states that vaccination requirements may be made by exception only and must be approved by the President at the request of the Chancellor.
I have received your request for a vaccination requirement for the following:
STUDENT CAST AND CREW: MAINSTAGE PRODUCTION AND URSA FUNDED STUDENT FILM
Based on your request and President Pitney’s approval, I am herewith authorizing a vaccination requirement (with allowance for medical and non-medical-religious exemptions) for that purpose.
Please see the procedures laid out in the September 17, 2021 memo from Chief Human Resources Officer Bishko titled “Guidelines for Supervisors Regarding COVID-19 Vaccinations and Face Coverings”. The memo has links to exemption forms for employees. Student exemptions are issued by the Center for Student Rights and Responsibilities (non-medical), or the Student Health and Counseling Center (medical).
