Saturday of Service Spring 2008

Saturday, February 9th 1-8PM-- Yukon Quest
Our first SOS of the year will be volunteering at the North Pole check point for the Yukon Quest. We'll be collecting bibs and any dogs they need to drop as the musher come through to complete the first 30 miles of the race.

At the Top of the World, in the Yukon-Alaskan Interior, an epic event takes place every year that few people from "down south" have experienced. Covering 1000 miles between Whitehorse, Yukon Territory and Fairbanks, Alaska during the depths of the Arctic winter, the Yukon Quest is known as the 'toughest sled dog race in the world'.
