Student Organization name:

American Association of Petroleum Geologists UAF Student Chapter

Student Organization preferred name:

University of Alaska Fairbanks AAPG Student Chapter

Student Organization Description:
The UAF American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) student chapter was established to attract a cross section of fresh and enthusiastic undergraduate and graduate students who are interested in pursuing a career in the geosciences. The purpose of this club is to disseminate knowledge within the general fields of petroleum exploration, and provide career opportunities for our fellow students by networking with representatives and recruiters from the petroleum industry. If you are looking for an internship or full time position, this is your best chance to get in contact with industry (as well as academia). Although the main objective of our club may seem petroleum oriented, our overall goal is to aid all club members in their future careers by providing exposure to industry and networking with experienced professionals.
