Student Organization Description:
The American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) student chapter at the University of Alaska Fairbanks has been recently established, aiming to attract a cross section of fresh and enthusiastic undergraduate and graduate students who are looking for a career in geoscience industry. The purpose of this club is to disseminate knowledge within the general fields of petroleum exploration, and provide bright career opportunities for our fellow students by networking with representatives and recruiters from the companies including likes of BP, Shell, ConocoPhillips and many others. If you are looking for an internship or full time position, this is your best chance to get in contact with industry (as well as academia).Although main objective of the club may seem petroleum oriented, our aim is to help and allow club members to make the right choice about their careers by providing more exposure to industry and networking with experienced professionals.
